EpisencialEpisencial, natural and organic personal care products for babies and kids, is celebrating 2012 with the launch of two new products, Peaceful Bubbles and Snuggly Lotion, along with a new packaging approach designed to increase the environmental sustainability of all Episencial products. Further, the company is introducing the availability of economy-sized 20-ounce bottles of its popular Playful Wash and new Peaceful Bubbles bath products. All the new products and features will be available online and in select Whole Foods beginning January 2012.

“I wish everyone a peaceful and snuggly 2012! This is the year Episencial celebrates skin care as health care for babies, kids and families,” said Kim Walls, CEO and chief formulator of Episencial. “With these new products and our new packaging, we are advancing our mission to deliver affordable, authentic skin care that preserves the health of our children and planet.”

Peaceful Bubbles is Episencial’s new 3-in-one bath product; a 70 percent organic formula for body wash, shampoo and bubble bath. Unlike the vast majority of bubble bath products, Peaceful Bubbles works to calm and comfort irritated skin with soothing avocado oil, oat and green tea extracts. This bubbly gel concentrate is sulfate free and pH-balanced so as not to irritate eyes or sensitive areas loaded and smells terrific thanks to real plum, peach and mandarin orange extracts – no fragrances. Plus, to help kids wind down from a busy day of play, the long-lasting bubbles are infused with organic lavender oil to put everyone in the right frame of mind for nap or bedtime. Peaceful Bubbles replaces Sweet Dreams Bubble Bath in the Episencial skin care system and will be available in both 8 oz. ($9.00) and 20 oz. ($24.00) sizes.

Episencial’s new silky soft daily moisturizer is Snuggly Lotion which features jojoba, avocado and olive oils as part of its essential fatty acid-rich and 70-percent organic formula. Designed to replenish and restore proper skin hydration, Snuggly Lotion works to prevent cradle cap and scaly skin and is a terrific infant massage product. As with all Episencial products, Snuggly Lotion is formulated with antioxidants and botanical blends that protect and promote the skin’s basic immune functions for overall health and wellness.

Episencial’s new packaging and new larger sizes are the result of a full-scale drive to further reduce the environmental impact of its products plus some valuable feedback from moms and dads.

“We’ve eliminated boxes to reduce the amount of packaging for our products and updated our logo and language to make everything as simple and direct as possible – it really represents who we are as a company,” continued Walls. “Our bottles are beautiful with ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ artwork everyone knows and loves. Episencial fans have been asking for larger sizes, particularly of the Playful Wash and bubble bath and we’re thrilled to be able to respond with the 20-ounce sizes of both.”

Episencial offers the first and only professional-quality, all natural and complete skin care system designed specifically to support the developing skin type of babies and kids. Episencial products are infused with Actively Healthy ingredients including probiotics and botanicals to support skin immunity in its developing stages when skin health is established for life. With prices ranging from $5 - $25, Episencial’s simple three-step approach includes:

Step 1.    Cleanse: Gently cleanse and hydrate for fresh, healthy skin.
Playful Wash, Peaceful Bubbles

Step 2.    Nourish: Soothe, heal, moisturize and massage to build immunity and enhance bonding.
Snuggly Lotion, Soothing Cream

Step 3.    Defend: Prevent and treat to balance and care for tender skin.
Nurturing Balm, Sunny Sunscreen

By virtue of its all natural formulas - Episencial products reduce exposure to unnecessary and potentially harmful chemicals so prevalent in skin care products; even those marketed for babies and children. Doctors and medical professionals throughout North America use Episencial’s skin care products in their hospitals.

About Episencial skin care

With Episencial, skin care is health care. Our all-natural formulas specifically care for the sensitive, developing skin type of babies and kids, ages 0+. Understanding the critical function skin plays in the immune system, Episencial combines advanced skin care technology with Actively Healthy ingredients including probiotics, neem oil and botanically-sourced essential fatty acids and antioxidants to support skin immunity in its developing stages when skin health is established for life.

Sharing these fun and inviting products - and the care and consideration that goes into making them - with children can serve as a building block for making actively healthy choices for themselves and the planet. Episencial was founded by Kim Walls, M.S., a second-generation skin care expert from the Epicuren family, who couldn’t find skin care products for her babies that met her professional standards for quality and care for the environment - so, she created her own with the help of several moms and dads. Episencial products are free from the bad stuff and loaded with good stuff to soothe and protect. The entire Episencial skin care system is safe for newborns and good for the planet.

Moving beyond the “greenwashed” approach typical of natural products, we manufacture in the U.S. using solar power and recycled and sustainable packaging. Episencial products are available nationwide. To find a retailer near you, please visit the newly revamped http://www.episencial.com.
