Lucian Matis Presents Fall 2011: CHAOS
Canadian Award-winning Fashion Designer, Lucian Matis has chosen the Design Exchange to unveil his Fall/ Winter 2011 Art-to-Wear Collection titled “CHAOS.”
“The collaboration with the Design Exchange is a perfect fit. The museum is known globally to promote all forms of design” Matis has entitled the new collection CHAOS for a reason. “This is not a negative but rather a positive statement. For me from chaos erupts innovation and change. I love the unpredictability of fashion. Change is imperative to avoid boring uniformity. Every woman should have some chaos in her wardrobe.”
Promoting the value of great design is paramount, because it is important that people understand its powerful effect. The vision at DX is to establish Canada as a design leader worldwide. Supporting Lucian Matis, is another way of reaching out to the design community, nationally and internationally. “Lucian is a creative genius and I am proud to say that he is absolutely top Canadian talent,” says Samantha Sannella, President and CEO of Design Exchange.
Pro Lead Artist, Lori Taylor, Smashbox Cosmetics L.A., will lead the Canadian beauty team to create The Lucian Matis CHAOS beauty looks for the fall/winter 2011 show. An exclusive Lucian Matis CHAOS Cosmetics Collection will also be developed and available for consumers to experience at select Shoppers Drug Mart and Murale stores in the greater Toronto area, commencing fall 2011.
