Minerals Mate Application Palette for Minerals Based Makeup
Minerals Mate, a new application palette for minerals-based makeup, makes its national debut online this week at http://www.mymineralsmate.com. Minerals Mate is a makeup application palette that gives minerals-makeup wearers plenty of room to work with minerals foundations and all-over treatments, plus a less-messy place to sort, blend or foil blushes and eye colors.
“For use in applying minerals, the container lids are obvious but they’re not practical,” said Molly Fleming, who custom-designed the Minerals Mate palette as an alternative. “You can wash the Minerals Mate palette, and there are no threads like on the lids to hide bacteria. Plus, it gives you enough room to play with your makeup without getting it all over the place!”
The white Minerals Mate palette has four small and three large wells to accommodate all sizes of brushes, from the smallest eyeliner tip to the largest kabuki brush. The ABS-made palette washes with soap and water (or on the top rack of the dishwasher) so users can start with a clean palette every day. It also has a thumb rest that doubles as a brush wash; the palette’s wells also can be used for cleaning brushes.
Available at this time exclusively online, the Minerals Mate palette comes with a satin pouch for storing leftover minerals safely, and a spatula for mixing minerals, or scooping up minerals when too much of a good thing spills out.
“Spillage is an important factor behind Minerals Mate products,” Fleming said. “It’s easy to get too much minerals in the cap when you shake out your minerals. So, what do you do? With the Minerals Mate palette, you have more surfaces to use for sorting or tapping out your product, and you can keep leftover minerals on the palette in the pouch if needed.”
The makeup containers, or powder jars, sold on http://www.mymineralsmate.com also help alleviate spillage with their rotating sifters that can minimize or even stop minerals from emptying out.
“We’re very excited to offer jars with the rotating-sifters,” Fleming said. “They’re perfect for controlling the flow of minerals. The sifters, which have a click-action mechanism, can be set to open, half-open or fully closed. They’re sold with jars that come in 20- and 30-gram sizes and have silver-matte lids. A 10-gram size will be available soon,” Fleming said. “Use the jars,” Fleming said, “for storing homemade product mixes or to replace existing messy containers. Also available from Minerals Mate is a red satin makeup tote bag that matches the 10” x 5” red satin palette pouch. The tote measures 7.5” x 12.”

Among the many benefits of the Minerals Mate palette:
1) Mix colors or finishes. With Minerals Mate, minerals wearers can mix colors to make a unique shade, or adjust the luminosity of a finish by mixing in more matte or “shine.”
2) Foil shadows more cleanly. Foiling, the ever-so-fun art of adding water to eye colors for a metallic look, is much easier with a Minerals Mate palette. Users can foil only a dab or two of their favorite eye shadows and keep their original tubs of product clean and dry.
3) Add key ingredients. With proper care, natural ingredients such as zinc oxide and sulfur (or sulphur) can be sprinkled into minerals using a Minerals Mate palette for those times when a little more UVA or anti-bacterial protection is needed.
