For almost 11 years and at the highest levels of the makeup artistry and fashion a few Makeup Artists enjoyed the exclusive use of this secret weapon. Now, Pigment Cosmetics will be available to the public through on-line purchase or their Studio in San Francisco. Fashioned by industry veteran Manhal Mansour, Pigment Cosmetics is the bridge between the over-the-counter world and the heavy duty mud-like theatrical makeup. Its fashion colors meet staying power.
Making this line available to the public changes the geography in the over-the-counter makeup playing field. Consumers now have the ability to purchase professional quality makeup with beautiful fashion colors at reasonable retail prices. The Studio in San Francisco boasts a spacious clean lined minimalistic décor. It also includes a professional artist training facility with extensive educational offerings that include specialty makeup courses as well as a full Master Makeup Artist Program. The staff of accomplished artists are ager to help and give professional tips on artistic as well sanitary application tips.
According to people familiar with the move, it was the steady stream of requests by clients and fashion conscious ordinary people that inspired the move into main stream availability. “Its ideal for the customer who enjoys looking their best, making a fashion statement subtle or overstated alike without having to constantly keep touching it up..” states Cristina Grimm, a fashion makeup artist and owner of 3 cosmetology schools. The line’s beginnings are simple enough and what started as an exclusive product to satisfy the practical needs of makeup artists has evolved into an industry insiders favorite, “For the longest time we were always looking for cosmetics that had beautiful colors and would stay on longer…its what we needed for long photo shoots and busy movie sets with lots of extras…Finally we decided to manage our own situation and started exploring different combinations of color and pigments…that was 11 years ago..” adds Mansour.
Colors are painstakingly chosen to satisfy a certain creative itch and pigment is balanced to deliver an accurate color deposit. Pigment Cosmetics was founded by Manhal Mansour, an industry veteran with 20 years experience in the hair and makeup industry.
