Women Not Cutting Back on Beauty Treatments
A recent poll suggests that 63 percent of women would rather cut back on restaurant dining, than eliminate their preferred beauty treatment; 47 percent of this group determined that the beauty treatment they simply could not do without is eyelash extensions. The in-house poll, was conducted by Flutter Lash Studio, a specialty salon in Lincoln Park, devoted primarily to eyelash extensions and eyebrow care.
“It’s interesting because trying economic times have even wealthy women re-examining where every penny goes, but many clients tell me that they’d rather cut back on things like eating out and $4 lattes, than go without their lashes,” said Ignacia Garcia, Owner of Flutter Lash Studio.
Manicures also scored very high. Thirty three percent of women polled said they could not give up their regular manicure.
The poll reflected the challenging economic landscape, suggesting that there is fear attached to spending: 77 percent of women admitted to changing shopping habits and reducing money spent on beauty treatments. “I was really surprised at the polls findings because business has been great for us! I think that women want to feel good about themselves, now more than ever,” said Garcia.
Flutter Lash Studio regular, Pamela Gates said, “Eyelash extensions are an essential part of my daily beauty regimen. It’s not a luxury, it’s an essential component of my well-being.”
The poll surveyed 100 women, ages 23-47 and was intended to capture women’s’ opinions on their beauty habits and what, if any impact the recession has played on these habits.

The poll is so super true. Even my girlfriend is a beauty conscious, she too would even cut back on eating outside than cutting off her beauty rituals. There are really women who are freaks about being beautiful, but they should also remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. thank you for posting anyway.
