Spa Week Is Back $50 Spa Treatments

Spa WeekAs the economic downturn runs its course, many Americans are already looking towards the future. Every cycle has a top and a bottom and Spa Week believes the country is witnessing the bottom of the current economic slump and better days have started to emerge. Never before has Spa Week’s message been more relevant than in these trying times–the spa lifestyle is essential to maintaining one’s health and well-being and Spa Week makes it available and affordable to everyone with its signature $50 spa services. A list of participating spas can be viewed on www.spaweek.com.

The 11th edition of the Spa Week Event is slated for October 12th-18th, taking place in markets such as New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Denver, Detroit, Florida, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Houston, Atlanta, San Antonio, Virginia Beach, Connecticut, Nashville, Austin, Dallas, North Carolina and Toronto, Canada. (Spa Week took place on September 14th-20th on the West Coast, including Arizona, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas, Chicago (Chicago joins the West Coast ranks this Fall). In total, the Fall Event will include a total of 30 markets.

The Fall Spa Week Event will bring $50 spa treatments to consumers at over 750 spas across the United States and Canada. As always, the goal is to introduce a new generation of consumers to the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and to open up the spa industry to the masses. Spa Week’s goal is to make “wellness” more than just a word–we intend to make it a reality. By educating consumers to the health benefits of the “spa lifestyle,” Spa Week is taking a leadership position in the campaign to change the unhealthy course the country is navigating.

For the first time in history, the spa industry has played a major role in mitigating the stress level in a tremendously expanded cross section of the American public. Thanks to the efforts of Spa Week and their Spa Week Spring and Fall Events in exposing the average American to the therapeutic health benefits of visiting a spa, many Americans made their first trip to a spa for the first time this past year. These are men and women like you and me that always believed that the spa industry was the domain of the rich and famous. Well, Spa Week has destroyed that old myth and America is a healthier country for their efforts.

Since its inception in 2004, the Spa Week Events have been responsible for the booking of over 350,000 individual spa treatments. Spa Week has been devoted to offering the consumer more for less and Spa Week continues to be the perfect way to enjoy the best that spas have to offer without having to break the bank. The Spa Week Events are known for offering even the most luxurious of spa treatments, ones that were at one time only available to the rich and famous. Spa Week affords everyone the ability to experience these typically pricey procedures and the amazing benefits the spa lifestyle can bring.

Spa Week was created and founded by Cheryl Reid, who hails from successful careers within the luxury spa industry and publishing spheres. For 2009, Spa Week is proud and excited to announce the inclusion of jane iredale The Skincare Makeup as its Title Sponsor, Pevonia Botanica as its Exclusive Skin Care Sponsor, The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa as its Exclusive Destination Sponsor, Rioja as its Exclusive Wine Sponsor and Allure Magazine as its exclusive National Media Sponsor.

I’ve spent a lot of time researching all the spas for Spa Week in NYC and have compiled a comprehensive guide at my site: http://www.spaweekguide.com/. You can browse based on categories like: best of massage, chocolate-based treatments, the best values, etc.. all categorized by neighborhood also and integrated with Yelp for review content and ratings. I’ve even got a listing of the spas I could determine were making Spa Week more like Spa Month with extended specials. Hope this helps someone!
