Advanced Firming Treatment
is an efficient, easily-absorbed formula, scientifically developed to firm, moisturize and improve the texture and appearance of the skin. Ximenia oil, which rehydrates and moisturizes the skin, works in combination with coffee extract, which effectively reduces the appearance of fatty deposits. Glaucine, a scientifically advanced active ingredient, visibly reduces the appearance of cellulite, while palmitoyl tripeptide-5, a technologically advanced biopeptide, helps to improve elasticity and firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Regular use of this product will rehydrate, moisturize, firm, restructure and tighten the skin, leaving a more youthful appearance with improved body contours, texture and tone.
Advanced Cellulite Treatment
Natural coffee and arnica extracts help eliminate the appearance of fatty deposits and work synergistically with the stimulating and warming effects of ginger to rejuvenate and invigorate the skin. Glaucine, a scientifically advanced active ingredient, visibly reduces the appearance of cellulite, while contributing to an improvement in drainage and water distribution throughout the skin. Regular use of this product will reduce the appearance of cellulite, while firming and tightening, to improve the texture, tone and smoothness of the skin.

Our Product Development Criteria
It is of utmost importance that Placécol products introduced to the public adhere to standards set by the cosmetic industry. Several organizations are involved to develop ongoing controls that ensure the safety of product for the consumer. Requirements for the advertising, labeling, composition and safety of cosmetic products in South Africa are regulated by the CTFA - Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance Association, as well as the ASA - Advertising Board of SA. Together they would determine the status of a product by considering various acts and regulations, packaging, methods of distribution, consumer perception of intended use and whether claims and ingredients conform to the regulatory requirements for cosmetics. Coschem, an organization for Cosmetic Chemists, supplies formulators of cosmetic products with the latest news and developments in the cosmetic industry on a continuous basis.
We only purchase raw materials from approved suppliers and only accept receipt of raw materials when they are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis from the relevant manufacturer. Raw materials are thoroughly researched to ensure compliancy with all the expectations of the specific product to be developed.
Formulation Testing
Stability testing is performed on all formulations to guarantee the products are of the highest quality. The products are placed in accelerated testing conditions which include temperatures of 4?C and 40?C respectively as well as room temperature for 3 months. The products are tested against a control for appearance, color, odor, pH and viscosity. All tests results are recorded and analyzed according to set specifications.
Specific test panels are performed to test the product performance and efficacy. Candidates are screened and then selected to take part in the test panels. Results are recorded where after a comprehensive report indicates whether the product is approved. After final approval, the product is subjected to product/packaging compatibility testing. This will ensure the product is compatible with the packaging material and closure type.
Other tests include SPF testing, sensitivity testing, irritancy testing, claim substantiation and efficacy testing. These tests are carried through by accredited testing facilities and certificates are issued for every test performed.
