Dermaray UV is a narrow band UVB-311nm hand held, battery operated and computer controlled medical device for the treatment of chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis, vitiligo, acne and atopic dermatitis. It boasts many unique safety features, plus an innovative and intuitive computer operating system that calculates and manages up to 10 individual patients with up to 32 treatment areas in each treatment program.
Psoriasis is a chronic, non-contagious autoimmune disease which affects the skin and joints. It commonly causes red scaly patches to appear on the skin. UVB has been used to treat psoriasis for more than 75 years. UVB has been the phototherapy of choice for psoriasis since it was found to be less carcinogenic than UVA and since the development in the late 1980s of a highly efficacious UVB lamp, termed narrow band UVB in the 311nm range.
Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder, characterised by white patches on the skin. Vitiligo has proven to respond exceptionally well to treatment with Dermaray UV with approximately 80% of patients experiencing an 80% reduction in their condition.
Dermaray Laser is a 100mW red medical laser based on 660nm technology. The Dermaray Laser Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) system represents the finest quality and most technologically advanced hand held laser system available today. Unique patent pending technology allows the advanced application of more powerful medical laser modules while offering safety features unique to Dermaray Laser that prevent accidental exposure to the visible laser energy.
