ULTA New Location on Chicagos State Street

UltaULTA today announced that its newest Chicago location, 114 South State Street (at Monroe), will open its doors on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 with a grand opening celebration at 4 pm. ULTA on State Street will be the company’s first urban location and will include 18,000 square feet of selling and salon space on four floors.

ULTA on State Street will provide ULTA’s customary high-quality shopping experience with an unparalleled selection of brand-name cosmetics, fragrances, skin and hair care products, along with a full-service, in-store salon. Designed to accommodate the busy lifestyle and growing needs of women, ULTA encourages customers to escape, learn and be entertained while beauty experts offer advice without sales pressure.

To celebrate the grand opening, ULTA on State Street will provide free cosmetic consultations and the first 100 customers to visit the store will  receive a gift certificate with a value ranging from $5 to $100.

The Salon at ULTA, a first-class, full-service salon, will encompass an entire floor in the State Street store and can be accessed by a spiral staircase or private elevator. David Barnett heads up the salon team and brings with him the heritage of fine salons from the UK and New York as he was most recently affiliated with The John Barrett Salon at Bergdorf Goodman. The Salon at ULTA will offer a menu of cut, color, specialty facials and waxing services. The stylists and colorists at the Salon at ULTA will provide complimentary consultations to meet each guest’s individual needs. The color department features some of Chicago’s best colorists who have pioneered the signature Ultimate Blonde and Ultimate
Single color services.

The Salon’s Spa Lounge will be a relaxation destination, full of amenities to soothe even the busiest customer. An experienced staff of European skin care specialists will be on hand to offer complimentary consultations and customized skin care treatments to target skin care concerns and produce visible results. In addition, The Salon at ULTA will
offer a mini boutique of Carol’s Daughter hair and skincare products and treatments, as well as the popular lines Colette Maloof, France Luxe and Lavendar Girl.

ULTA on State Street, located at the intersection of State Street and Monroe will be open Monday-Saturday from 9:00 am to 9:30 pm and on Sunday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. The Salon at ULTA will be open Monday-Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Appointments can be made by calling 312-279-5081, and walk-ins are also welcome.

    I think it is great that Ulta will be carrying brands like Murad, Bare Essentuals and Dermalogica. Hopefully it will help create more awareness of brands that were previously only seen in spa settings.
