Hollywoods New Makeup Artist of the Year
Hollywood Life Magazine hosted its fifth annual Hollywood Style Awards this past Sunday, October 12th at the Pacific Coast Center drawing celebrity attendees and Hollywood’s elite. Giorgio Armani Beauty’s Celebrity Makeup Artist and National Creative Director, Tim Quinn, one of the evening’s honorees, was recognized for his incredible work, including a plethora of celebrity outreach, editorial and backstage work, earning him the highly coveted title of “Beauty Tsar”. Tim was presented this prestigious award by actress Jordana Brewster, star of the Fast and the Furious and Annapolis. Mrs. Brewster featured a Giorgio Armani dress and the just launched Giorgio Armani makeup look from the fall/winter ‘08 collection.
Tim was in the company of other style stars and honorees, including hair stylist Serge Normant, actress Sophia Bush, fashion and costume designer Bob Mackie, singer/artist Eve and artist/actor Ludacris.
Tim Quinn joined the Giorgio Armani Beauty team with the launch of the brand in September 2001, after training in Milan alongside world-renown makeup artist Pat McGrath. As the US front-man for Giorgio Armani Beauty, Tim has traveled internationally hosting special events, training and promoting the beauty line. His words of wisdom have graced the pages of W, Elle, Glamour, Lucky, InStyle, Harper’s Bazaar, More and Cosmopolitan. Tim has been featured as one of the “25 Beauty Stars” in W magazine and has worked backstage at several award shows including the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes and the ESPYs. Additionally, Tim has been featured numerous times on television programs such as the Today Show, Extra and E! Entertainment. Tim has worked with a number of celebrities such as Glenn Close, Debra Messing, Victoria Beckham, Kim Cattrall, Gwen Stefani, Kate Bosworth, Minnie Driver, Ziyi Zhang, and Brooke Shields.
