Foot and Toenail Care for Bare It All High Heels

Posted by Sandy
August 13, 2008

According to the July 27, 2008 issue of the New York Times, this summer’s footwear fashion is all about foot-baring high heels, platforms and gladiator-style sandals - while flip-flops are out. Carol J. Buck, CEO of Xenna Corporation (www.xenna.com) a distributor of natural foot care products, says, “Regardless of the season, shoe fashion is always about flattering the foot and leg while pulling together the entire fashion statement. This summer, women’s footwear has combined ‘gem-stone glam’ with a barefoot look -and with all this attention on heels and toenails their appearance has to be perfect!”

For men (who are not able to hide their toenail discoloration under nail polish) the solution is simply to avoid wearing open-toed sandals altogether.

But Buck suggests that both men and women can enjoy cool and flattering sandals once they give some basic attention to the care of their feet. She adds, “The ‘bare look’ in footwear creates a dilemma for many women who are hiding their unsightly toenails under nail polish or are embarrassed by dry, cracked heels: ‘Yes’, the shoes look terrific, but ‘No’ my feet don’t. But it’s not too late to do something about it and still kick up your heels in sandals by late August.”

Ms. Buck knows a lot about feet. Xenna Corporation develops and distributes topical foot care products using natural formulations that focus on the exfoliation of keratin — the protein contained in skin and nails.

For many with unsightly feet, Xenna’s topical, exfoliating products are a major breakthrough. Diabetic-friendly CalleX® Ointment (www.callexointment.com) addresses the stubborn problem of dry heels and hardened, rough soles and toes and diabetic-friendly NonyX® Nail Gel (www.nonyx.com) clears discolored, thickened toenails by tackling the cause of the discoloration, keratin debris buildup.

Buck says, “It’s not too late to have smooth, soft feet this summer because CalleX acts very quickly. This is because it contains natural enzymes that selectively break down dry skin and soften hard, thickened areas, while leaving normal skin alone. Within 2 or 3 weeks heels are moist, smooth and soft as a baby’s bottom.” It’s also free of potentially irritating acids, colorants, parabens and lanolin.”

Both products are used and sold by podiatrists but can also be purchased in the foot care section of mass retailers and chain drugstores (www.callexointment.com).

For unsightly toenails, Xenna’s patented, diabetic-friendly NonyX Nail Gel (www.nonyx.com).exfoliates the dark, yellow or thick granular material called keratin debris, which can build up under nails over time. With regular use, the gel softens, breaks down and then clears out unattractive white or yellowish keratin debris under the nail. Once this keratin debris is removed, periodic use NonyX Gel keeps nails looking clear and attractive.

NonyX Nail Gel and CalleX Ointment are both money-back guaranteed by Xenna Corporation. NonyX Nail Gel and can be purchased in the FOOT CARE section of Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, Wal-Mart, Meijer, TARGET, Snyders, Longs, Duane Reade, ShopKo, Kerr Drug, Giant Eagle, HEB, Bruno’s, Hannaford, many other grocery stores and most Medicine Shoppe pharmacies. NonyX for Fingernails can also be purchased in select Rite Aid Stores in the Nail Care aisle.

CalleX Ointment can be purchased in the FOOT CARE section at Walgreens, Rite-Aid, CVS, most Wal-Mart Supercenters, TARGET, Snyders, Longs, Duane Reade, Kerr Drug, Giant Eagle, HEB, BI-LO, Bruno’s, many other grocery stores and most Medicine Shoppe pharmacies.

Online, both are also available at http://www.xenna.com.

Bones of the feet develop spurs due to pressure and arthritis. Spurs are also caused by strain of the feet muscles. Being overweight, wearing tight-fitting shoes and standing for a long time worsen spurs. Spurs are at times painless and sometimes painful. Heel spurs are the most common, can be treated by using heel pads, heel cups and foot supports.
