Medspa NuU to Join the Mission to March for Babies
NuU Medspa has devoted their efforts to The 39th Annual March for Babies held on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Wesley Bolin Plaza, AZ. The March of Dimes® Walk heightens awareness and funds for the prevention of premature birth – the leading cause of newborn death and healthy babies.
The 39th Annual March For Babies™ have raised over $900,000 as of today – and donations are still pouring in.
Premature births have increased dramatically in Arizona over the last twenty years without solid answers. NuU, along with other generous sponsors and groups, have joined forces to help fund research to put and end to this devastating number. According to March of Dimes®, 120,000 babies are born with serious birth defects every year.
Norm Valine, president of NuU Medspa, says, “It takes one individual to rally up a team and set an example in the workplace or circle of friends.”
Highlights of this event included; an aerobic warm-up, post-event massages and breakfast and lunch served in the pavilion. Over 6,000 individuals and teams have participated in this year’s 39th Annual March For Babies.
