Amy Winehouse has Impetigo
Grammy winner Amy Winehouse is reportedly suffering from the contagious skin infection, impetigo. Winehouse found out that she had the painful condition after what is being called an ‘emergency doctor’s visit’. According to reports the singer’s left cheek is bruised and swollen.
Winehouse’s condition was confirmed by her spokesperson who reported that “Amy has been diagnosed with impetigo…she has been put on antibiotics and may have to stay home alone for the next few days.”
Impetigo is an infectious and painful skin condition that normally affects children. The condition often develops when a rash is scratched repeatedly. Practicing good hygiene is one way of preventing the spread of the infection.
