Pepper May Help Disfiguring Skin Condition
A key component of black pepper could offer hope to people suffering vitiligo, a condition that causes pale patches to develop on the skin, new research shows.
They found that when used alone the compounds stimulated pigmentation to an even, light brown colour within six weeks. When boosted by radiation, the treatment led to even darker skin in about the same period of time.
Pale, white patches develop on the skin due to a lack of the pigment melanin which gives the skin its colour and helps protect it from the sun’s harmful rays.
The conventional treatment involves exposing the skin to ultraviolet light. This works well in almost half of cases but it can increase the risk of skin cancer.
This is because of the extra exposure to UVA rays and it is not recommended for children or pregnant women.
Now new research at King’s College London involving the study of mice has found the compound piperine, which makes black pepper pungent, can stimulate the skin to produce pigment.

This is first claimed by the king medical college’s research team and after them many medical org working on such type of disease admired it. and now the black pepper is being used in many creams and oil for the treatment of vitiligo. but alon use of UV is dangerous and a high risk of cancer associated with this.
pepper has been using for the many disease since the anciant time. In Asia with honey it used for the treatment of different type of cough and throught problems.
